The first episode of Mountain Standard Time with Nathan Giede presenting a BC perspective. Publisher Derek Fildebrandt joins Nathan and then is followed by Aaron Ekman with some spirited discussion on Western issues. Shows will be live on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to noon. 

Guests were columnist Clinton Desveaux of Halifax and Sauga 960 radio host Marc Patrone from Mississauga discuss the bleak polling figures facing the Conservative Party of Canada under Erin O'Toole's leadership as we likely march towards a federal election. Can and should the caucus take O'Toole out of the leadership while they still can? Would it help? Is another Liberal government inevitable? Can O'Toole manage to turn the tide? Lots of questions with some distressing answers. 

In this episode, Cory interviews Marcel Latouche of the Institute for Public Sector Accountability on challenges with all levels of government, particularly municipal. In being an election year for municipalities in Alberta, it is important that the electorate understands the options and considers changing course in municipal governance. Next, Cory spoke to Colin Craig of SecondStreet.org which is a Canadian think-tank dedicated to studying policy issues and taking an approach from the direct human impact perspective rather than the more cold, academic approach. Impacts from health care waiting times, school choice and public opinion on the carbon tax were all discussed.

The latest in Danielle Smith’s Uncensored series on COVID-19 is an extended interview with Pastor James Coates.Pastor Coates was jailed for over a month for having held religious services despite provincial health restrictions banning such activities. He speaks to the experience, his faith and the challenges going forward.
